FAQs – Licensing
What are the different licensing options?
We offer floating client licenses. A floating license does not require an activation code for each client license. An activation code is required for server only. It is controlled by the number of concurrent users.
What are license requirements? Is installation limited to a few computers?
We provide floating client licenses. You can install the application on an unlimited number of computers; however, the number of users that can access concurrently (at the same time) is controlled by the number of floating licenses purchased.For example, if you purchase five floating licenses, you can install client apps on any number of computers – but, only five users may access the server simultaneously.
Are there any license keys required?
License keys are not required for each user. However, a license key is required for server installation.
FAQs – Technical
How long does it take to deploy in our environment?
The products can be deployed very quickly for both local and globally dispersed teams. A typical deployment would be 5-30 minutes.
What are the system requirements for the server?
The server can be used on any Windows machine, including Windows 2003/2008/2012 server. A minimum of 1 GB of RAM is highly recommended.
Does the products need a database?
No. The products include a Free enterprise database that is highly scalable to TBs of data.
Where does database reside?
The application server (with database) can be installed on your computers.
Where are documents stored?
All artifacts, including data, documents, and models are stored in a central shared repository.
Can I automate the backup of database?
Yes. Please refer to the “Automatic Backup” topic in the Server & DB Admin Manual.
What are the server maintenance requirements?
The products are virtually maintenance free. Regularly backing up the database (which can be automated) is recommended.

What is upgrade policy?
Each licensed copy includes one-year free upgrades and support. After the first year, upgrades and support may be purchased for an additional fee equal to 20% of the total cost of the tool.
How do I order?

How long will it take to process an order?
We will email you a download link within 24-48 hours once your order is received (paid for by purchase order (P.O.), credit card, check, or wire transfer).
